Inspired by älvkvarnar, which were "pits" carved into stone as places of offering for spirits, these small handcarved and handburned wooden bowls are meant as vessels for offering and to be used on an altar.

"Gates of Prosperity" is shown in the first two photos and contains two bindrunes to call in prosperity and the materialization of desires without harm to any.

It is approx. 2.5 inches long by 1.75 inches across, depth is about 0.625 inch.

"Turning of Time" is shown in the last three, with the final image being the back that looks like Jupiter. :) This bowl was create to honor times of transition and change or to aid to moving into a new phase. It is approx. 1.87in long x 1.75 inch wide x 0.87 inch deep.

All bowls are sealed with herbally infused beeswax I have made.

Fairy Bowls

  • Each bowl is decorated with wood burning ("pyrography") in ceremony after casting runes and creating art from the runes cast for the specific purpose of the bowl.

  • Each bowl is handcarved by me from wood I gather from my forest walks, whether branches fallen from wind and rain or lightning struck. If you're curious about the wood, just ask! I probably know where it came from and what it is. :)

Each bowl is sealed with an herbally infused beeswax mixture of my own making, which should make it possible to pour in water or other liquid. Some staining to the wood still may occur, so keep that in mind. You can continue to nourish the wood with oils or beeswax or other wood products, keeping in mind potential food safeness. I do not recommend drinking or eating from these, but there should be no inherent safety issues.
